Just compiling goom for xmms makes goom for xmms.
That will not work elsewhere.
With modifications to the code you can make it do other things eg run in a different player. Or for code intended for Linux it may need reworking to work under Windows.

Re: Request: Infinite (XMMS/Libvisual) visualization for Tuniac
You linked the source to a visual for a media player called Audacious.
Audacious visual API is not the same or related to Tuniacs so it will not work as a Tuniac visual plugin.
I could rewrite it with some effort but I don't want to rewrite random visuals.
If you like these visuals you should try ...

Re: Request: Infinite (XMMS/Libvisual) visualization for Tuniac
I just went to check out libvisual.
Their site list apps libvisual should be in
https://github.com/Libvisual/libvisual/wiki/Applications
But it appears almost all those apps have removed support for libvisual a very long time ago

Re: Does a projectM on Tuniac?
It isn't a Tuniac visualization.
ProjectM is a standalone application.
It will react to any music playing on your system including Tuniac.
So just run Tuniac and ProjectM.

Re: Does a projectM on Tuniac?
Ok so I have built projectm 4.1.2 lib and the frontend-sdl2 app from source.
Includes "cream of the crop" presets and "milkdrop texture pack"
Build unmodified from sources availble here:

You can get standalone projectM on Steam or the Windows store.

I think ProjectM can run standalone and will react to any player playing music.

Re: Did I break something?
Also did the problem start after any specific change you made?
Eg did it start after updating tuniac?
Does sound initially play and then stop at some random point or when you start tuniac it never plays sound now?
